We are looking for intellectually rigorous, impact-driven individuals to join Fieldcrest Ventures as Part-Time Venture Analysts. This role is ideal for individuals from non-traditional backgrounds, especially those with experience in technical or scientific research, who are eager to apply their analytical skills in venture capital. As a Venture Analyst, you?l be central to evaluating potential investments, conducting deep dives into emerging technologies, and generating insights that drive Fieldcrest? strategic decisions. The role is fully remote, offering flexibility and autonomy for a self-starter passionate about making a positive impact through technology.

Key Responsibilities: ?Industry Research & Deep Dives: Conduct comprehensive, first-principles research on emerging technologies such as AI, neurotech, biotechnology, advanced manufacturing, and more. Develop detailed reports and presentation decks that summarize findings, opportunities, and risks, ensuring an evidence-based approach to high-stakes analysis. ?Market & Trend Analysis: Analyze industry trends and competitive landscapes to identify early-stage startups or opportunities to launch and incubate new startups in our target sectors. Focus on uncovering high-potential opportunities that align with Fieldcrest? mission of advancing transformative technology and addressing existential risks. ?Investment Evaluation & Due Diligence: Assist in evaluating investment opportunities, including rigorous due diligence and financial analysis, with a particular emphasis on the ethical and risk-reward profile of each opportunity. Prepare investment briefs that provide clear insights grounded in probabilistic reasoning and Bayesian thinking. ?Collaborative Insight Generation: Work closely with the Fieldcrest team to support operational involvement in portfolio companies. You?l gather insights that contribute to growth strategy, governance, and market expansion, engaging in thoughtful dialogue with both internal stakeholders and portfolio founders.
