Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
? Tailored Instruction: Develop and implement individualized educational programs (IEPs) that cater to each student?s unique needs, ensuring their academic and social success.
? IEP Coordination: Lead and participate in IEP meetings, working closely with parents, therapists, and other educators to set and review educational goals.
? Student Progress Monitoring: Use virtual tools to assess and track student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed and maintaining thorough documentation.
? Collaborative Engagement: Partner with general educators, support staff, and therapists to deliver a well-rounded and comprehensive educational experience for all students.
? Parent Communication: Maintain open and regular communication with parents and guardians, providing updates on student progress and strategies to support learning at home.

Qualifications
? Education: Bachelor?s or Master?s degree in Special Education or a related field.
? Certification: Valid Michigan teaching license with a Special Education endorsement.
? Experience: Minimum of three years of experience in a special education setting, with significant experience in remote or online teaching preferred.
? Skills: Proficient in using educational technology, excellent communication and organizational skills, and a strong understanding of special education practices.
