What you'll do:

? Perform cashiering duties.
? Undertake supportive duties to aid the store in reaching its assigned sales goal.
? The arrangement of the merchandise and pricing should be done correctly.
? Comply with the pre-existing operational guidelines, store policies and regulations, and strictly follow the approved procedures.
? Evaluate guest concerns and, when needed, refer them to the Guest Experience Leader or the Leader on Duty.

Key Accountabilities:

? The ideal ways to ensure the health and happiness of live animals are through providing them suitable care in accordance with Petco's established standards, policies and procedures, which includes completing hourly animal health checks and maintaining wellness records.
? Interacts with professional colleagues through articulate written and verbal communication, consistently prioritizing the interests of the company.
? Provides swift and gracious support for Petco customers, recognizing their individual demands and recommending relevant merchandise while incorporating suggestive sales techniques to increase revenue.
? This position demands an individual who has a thorough comprehension of nutrition, a sound grasp of the process of signing up for Pals Rewards membership, and the ability to engage customers using effective suggestive selling methods.
? Makes sure that every guest receives excellent service through all Omni-channel programs, like Instacart, Extended Aisle, and Repeat Delivery.
? Ensures complete point-of-sale assistance by carrying out all necessary activities including handling cash sales, credit sales, check sales, and processing returns and exchanges.
? Supports in ensuring that merchandise is stocked and presented in a manner consistent with established protocols.
? Processes cash register transactions and provides guest carry-out service, which may involve transporting items weighing up to 50 pounds per trip.
? Follows the loss prevention procedures implemented by the company.
? Facilitates the movement of inventory into and out of the store using standardized procedures to promote a stocked store and precise inventory counts.
? Maintains that animals, birds, reptiles, and fish in the store are appropriately looked after while ensuring their living conditions are clean, safe and secure. Finally, all essential measures are taken to maintain their good health.
? The instant an animal, reptile, bird or fish requires specialized care or medical attention, store leaders are notified.
? Ensures the store maintains its professional appearance by performing housekeeping duties necessary, such as sweeping and mopping floors, dusting merchandise shelves, washing windows, tidying restrooms, etc.
? Assists store managers in fulfilling paperwork requirements correctly and accurately while opening or closing the store.
? Takes part in completing quarterly and annual physical inventories accurately.
? Promotes and enforces a strict culture of safety within the store, encouraging everyone to take personal responsibility for keeping themselves and others around them safe.
? Undertakes assigned special projects.

Work Environment:

Strong physical stamina is essential as you must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and operate material handling equipment capable of pulling up to 2000 pounds.
