This position is remote / work from home.
Will need to supply your own computer / equipment.
Hours:
Full time, night shift, 11:00pm - 7:00am, with rotating days.
Some weeks the hours may include alternate shifts (2nd shift hours).
Will include weekends and holidays, in some instances.
Job Summary:
Transcribe and edit dictation of patient X-ray film interpretation and/or treatment for radiology records, physician's reports and correspondence from radiology supervisors.
The ideal candidate will understand medical terminology; possess excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; have the ability to work alone; must be discrete with all confidential information.
Major Job Functions:
? Accurately transcribes and edits involved technical radiology reports.
? Ensures reports are sent back to referring physician within 24 hours.
? Transcribes non-medical reports, letters, and documents, as requested.
? Reconciles records to make sure all orders have reports; notifies appropriate staff of missing reports.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience:
Previous healthcare transcription experience is preferred; must be able to type 65 WPM accurately.
