Role Overview

We are currently seeking enthusiastic and qualified individuals to join our team as temporary adjunct faculty members in the Office of Clinical Practice, within the Education Department. Ideal candidates will bring teaching experience in Connecticut, relevant CT teaching certificates, and experience supervising teacher candidates or in-service teachers. A Master's degree in Education and an active teaching certificate are required.

Key Responsibilities
? Teach a student teaching supervisory course that meets once weekly in the evening.
? Observe and evaluate student teachers using remote supervision software.
? Provide constructive feedback and coaching to support their development.
? Develop and/or update course syllabi.
? Prepare and deliver lectures, projects, homework, and assessments.
? Grade assignments promptly and provide helpful feedback to students.
? Maintain office hours to support students, either in-person or virtually.
? Attend departmental meetings as needed.
? Utilize available technology for teaching, including Blackboard and TEAMS.
? Complete training for the CPAST assessment system (training materials provided).
? Adhere to the academic calendar for class periods and grade submission.
? Foster a positive learning environment and support student success.

Qualifications
? Teaching experience in Education required.
? Master's degree in Education preferred.
? Degrees must be from an accredited institution.
? Current CT teaching certificate(s) required; CT 092 and/or 093 certificate preferred.
? Proficiency with technology and experience in virtual teaching required.
? Experience with EdTPA preferred.

Additional Information

This is a part-time, semester-based position dependent on student enrollment and departmental needs. Courses may be offered in various formats, including in-person, synchronous online, and asynchronous online. Please include your availability and experience in your cover letter. Regular attendance is essential.

Compensation
? Non-Terminal Degree/0-6 Credits Experience: $3,000.00 per 3-credit course.
? Terminal Degree/0-6 Credits Experience: $3,200.00 per 3-credit course.
? Non-Terminal Degree/7+ Credits Experience: $3,400.00 per 3-credit course.
? Terminal Degree/7+ Credits Experience: $3,700.00 per 3-credit course.
