Are you passionate about making a difference in students' lives? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Full-Time Certified Special Education Teacher/Advisor to join our team for Fall 2024. This hybrid role offers the flexibility to work both remotely.

Key Responsibilities...

Collaborate with leadership teams, certified staff, and parents to support and enhance the learning experience for students with special needs.

Develop and implement strategies and interventions to meet IEP goals and address other learning challenges.

Establish and lead a school-wide Response to Intervention (RTI) program.

Provide technical assistance and training on social-emotional intervention strategies, behavior data management, coaching, and policy development.

Support special education teams with designing and implementing specially designed instruction, academic interventions, social skills training, and functional life skills.

Essential Functions

Work under the supervision of the Executive Director and Special Education Liaison, alongside the leadership team.

Offer guidance and support to parents and advisors regarding students' academic, behavioral, social, and emotional needs.

Stay updated on evidence-based strategies and materials to provide effective support.

Conduct both in-person and virtual training sessions, including through Zoom.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Working Conditions

Engage with groups and individuals including teachers, administrators, support staff, parents, and students.

Must be able to work independently while collaborating with various teams.

Flexibility in scheduling is required to accommodate training and classes.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong leadership abilities and demonstrated expertise in social-emotional learning, functional behavior assessments, and behavior intervention plans.

In-depth knowledge of evidence-based curricula and interventions for diverse student needs, including behavior, self-regulation, emotional difficulties, and academic skills.

Experience in instructional coaching and advising.

Skilled in collecting, analyzing, and utilizing data for decision-making.

Familiarity with trauma-informed practices and the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEP).

Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor.

Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to facilitate effective meetings and training.

Proven time management and problem-solving abilities.
