Objective:

Caregivers can work independently in client homes or for a healthcare facility providing personal care to patients. They typically travel to a client's home and help them perform basic domestic tasks like cleaning and activities of daily living such as bathing and providing them with companionship and emotional support.

Job Description:
? Provide clients with companionship, socialization, and mental stimulation
? Transport clients to and from appointments, errands, activities, etc.
? Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene
? Assistance with transfers & ambulation
? Provide medication reminders
? Prepare and cook meals

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
? Experience with dementia care; Alzheimer's; Parkinson's
? Empathy and the ability to care for the client's social, emotional, physical, and mental needs
? Ability to respond to an emergency situation.
? Physical ability to reach with hands and arms.
? Ability to carry, lift or pull up to 50 pounds, while avoiding injury from transferring, repositioning, or lifting patients.
? Ability to occasionally push/pull objects up to 50 pounds and to bend/kneel to complete activities.
? Physical strength and stamina.

License/Certification:
? Current HCA (Preferred)
? CPR Certification
