About Network & Acquiring Solutions As part of the Global Merchant & Network Services group (GMNS) the Network & Acquirer Solutions (NAS) team is at the core of American Express, uniquely positioned to service every business unit and customer across the Enterprise. Each year, we power billions of transactions through our global payments network, enabling over $1.6 trillion in annual spend and serving our Issuing and Acquiring businesses in more than 170 markets worldwide. About the Role This role supports a broad range of projects across NAS ? helping to design and deliver initiatives that enables the organization?s delivery on strategic initiatives. Reporting to the Vice President, Strategy & Planning, the successful candidate will be tasked with helping to deliver key projects. Specifically, the candidate will have a unique opportunity to help shape and lead the implementation of an enhanced End-to-End Product Governance program. Enhancing product design, delivery & enablement governance is a critical initiative within NAS and the position will work with senior leaders to ensure People, Process, Tools and Controls are at the forefront of the program. Ultimately the program will drive stronger controls, speed to market and product innovation across NAS. Key responsibilities: ? Collaborate with NAS leadership and global stakeholders across the organization to create comprehensive strategies that support NAS goals, including the delivery of a thoughtful end to end governance program. ? Own the design of Governance process frameworks that support the effective and timely development of products across the organization. Determines where gaps exist and devises new processes, metrics, or reports to fill those gaps. ? Partner with stakeholders to craft the narrative, owning presentation design/layout/slide creation, while meeting high quality benchmarks and timeline expectations. ? Drive the Change Management program, including identification and development of potential tools to support governance. ? Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, stakeholders, and deliverables, keeping NAS leadership apprised of progress through regular updates. ? Create metrics, monitor progress, track KPIs, synthesize test results, and adjust strategies/projects as needed. Be able to create simple financial analysis for high level cost benefit evaluations. ? Collaborate effectively with partners such as Technology, Finance, CEG and Compliance, while also building key relationships across the organization. Qualifications: ? Must be able to work effectively with multiple partners in a large, global, environment to create alignment and drive results across multiple simultaneous workstreams ? Experience working directly with technical teams is highly preferred ? Strong problem-solving abilities, motivated self-starter with an ability to manage multiple workstreams across projects. ? Excellent interpersonal skills ? ability to collaborate effectively in a team and build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels ? Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a fast paced and highly matrixed environment. ? Strong project management skills with proven record of successful results on complex, large-scale, cross-functional initiatives ? Analytical problem solver who is solution-oriented; able to break down complex ideas into easy-to-understand messages. ? NY-based position Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
