Job Overview:

The Financial Data Analyst is responsible for providing timely and accurate financial reports and analyses to improve financial decision-making across the organization. This position is responsible for the completion of various analysis and reporting. The Financial Data Analyst must be proficient in analyzing financial data and summarizing results to help guide management?s decision making to support Community Behavioral Health?s goals and objectives.

? Assist in assuring both internal and external program integrity by being alert to and reporting suspected instances of provider and employee fraud, waste or abuse.

Position Requirements: ? Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reconciliations and reports as needed. ? Query data sets, identify, analyze and interpret trends or patterns within the data to support decision making for different departments including but not limited to Finance, Claims, and Value Based Purchasing (VBP). ? Develop any new analysis and reporting, or modify existing analysis and reporting, based upon the changes or new information available. ? Identify and research any issues with the financial data and reports; bring issues to the attention of manager and follow through on issue resolution. ? Provide claims data and analytical support as needed in response to requests, inquiries and subpoenas from internal departments and external state and federal government agencies.

Position Requirements: ? Education: The successful candidate will have a minimum of Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Science (Finance, Accounting, Economics, Math, Statistics, Data analytics, etc.) or similar nature. ? License/Certification: N/A ? Relevant Work Experience: Minimum of 1 years of experience in a professional accounting or financial position, specifically in data manipulation and analyses; health care industry experience preferred

Skills:
? Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, SQL and statistical tools
? Familiar with financial, accounting and statistics methodologies
? Familiar with large complex data sets
? Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
? Effective time management and organizational skills with ability to multi-task
? Effective communication and interpersonal skills
? Detail-oriented

Work Conditions:
? Requires ability to work non-traditional hours as needed to meet work demand.
? Regularly requires walking, standing, stooping, bending, sitting, reaching, pushing, pulling and/or repetitive wrist/hand movements for various lengths of time throughout the day.
? Ability to utilize computers and office equipment to complete daily work responsibilities.
? Regularly works inside in areas that are adequately lighted and ventilated. Some fluctuation in temperature. No protective equipment routinely needed.
? Must be able to adapt to continuous changes/demands of the job.

Philadelphia Residency Requirement:
? The successful candidate must be a current Philadelphia resident or become a resident within six months of hire.
