- Position DetailsPosition title: Online English TeacherRate: $16-20 USD/hr (2 lessons)Location: Remote, online (U.S. and Canada)Start date: ImmediatelyContract type: Independent ContractorContract term: 6 monthsYour WorkTeach English to young learners between 5-12 years of age through Qkids online platformOur Class Coordination Team will handle scheduling and student assignmentTeachers will be teaching classrooms with up to 4 studentsThe curriculum is preset, no lesson planning requiredEach in-lesson time is 30 minutesTraining and support providedRequirementsEligible to legally work in the U.S. or CanadaBachelor?s degree requiredTeaching license or English teaching certificates (TESOL, TEFL, CELTA, ESL) requiredDigital literacy and the ability to lead an engaging learning atmospherePrior teaching experience or equivalent in education, tutoring, mentoring, homeschooling preferredTechnical requirements: a computer with a stable internet connection and clear audio/video capacityThe minimum time commitment is 6 hours weeklyRegular class time slots: 19 hrs7 days a week (AM - EST):5:40-6:10, 6:20-6:50, 7:00-7:30, 7:40-8:10Plus Friday and Saturday (PM - EST):7:40-8:10, 8:20-8:50, 9:00-9:30, 9:40-10:10, 10:20-10:50Additional summer time slots (June - August EST): 12.5 hrsSunday - Thursday (PM-EST):8:40-9:10, 9:20-9:50, 10:00-10:30, 10:40-11:10, 11:20-11:50? Payment:The base rate for our teachers is $16 USD per hour, equivalent to 2 lessons. There are attendance and performance bonuses, $1USD each, calculated weekly.
