Summary: We are seeking a motivated and skilled Health Data Analyst to join our team in a fully remote capacity. The primary goal of this role is to enhance patient care and optimize operational efficiency by leveraging advanced data analytics. This position involves working with diverse internal and external data sources, including open-source datasets, patient information, and operational and financial data. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with expertise in data cleaning, transformation, and advanced analytical techniques. Collaboration with IT, operations, and business development teams is essential to deliver actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making. Essential Job Functions: ? Extract, clean, and analyze diverse datasets, including patient, operational, and financial data, as well as open-source data. ? Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using tools like Tableau, Python, and R to communicate insights effectively. ? Apply advanced statistical methods, predictive modeling, and machine learning techniques to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement. ? Collaborate with IT, operations, and business development teams to identify data needs and develop robust solutions for data collection and analysis. ? Ensure data accuracy and integrity throughout the data lifecycle. ? Provide actionable insights and recommendations to support patient care improvement, operational optimization, and strategic initiatives. ? Stay current with emerging trends and best practices in data analytics and healthcare ? Support with basic administrative tasks, including data entry, file management, document scanning, and correspondence. ? Assist in interpreting worker?s compensation claims clinical notes for accurate OHSA recordable reporting. ? Uses clinical knowledge and critical thinking skills to analyze trends in clinical data. ? Assist in preparing reports and dashboards for leadership and support data-driven decision-making. ? Generating reports and analyzing claims data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process improvement. ? Conducting audits of claims processes and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Other Duties: ? Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information in compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements. ? Performs other duties and assists with special projects as requested by management. Minimum Qualifications/Skills: ? A minimum of three years of experience in a data analyst or similar role. ? A minimum of three years of healthcare or claims experience ? A minimum of three years OHSA claims and or other occupational claims experience. ? RN or LPN is preferred. ? Proficiency in Excel, Python, R, and Tableau for data analysis and visualization. ? Experience in data cleaning, transformation, and analysis of large, complex datasets. ? Experience using AI to analyze patient data ? Nursing experience or healthcare industry experience is highly preferred. ? Familiarity with advanced analytical techniques, including statistical modeling and machine learning. ? Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as a self-starter. ? Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. ? Preferred: Experience with healthcare systems, privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA), and open-source data exploration. Physical and General Requirements: ? Visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer monitor; extensive reading. ? Ability to use fine motor skills to operate computers, office equipment and/or machinery. ? Able to sit for several hours at a time with periodic breaks.
