Job Title: Medical Director - Remote | WFH

Job Overview

We are actively seeking a compassionate and highly experienced Medical Director to join our distinguished team at a prominent provider of mental health and substance use disorder services. This pivotal role involves delivering crucial medical oversight to a residential treatment program dedicated to adolescents facing substance use challenges.

Key Responsibilities
? Provide comprehensive medical care, including thorough assessments, medication management, and ongoing patient health monitoring.
? Be available for 24/7 on-call support to address medical emergencies and provide consultations.
? Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team comprising therapists, counselors, and other professionals to ensure seamless and effective patient care.
? Assist in the development and execution of medical protocols and policies aimed at enhancing treatment outcomes.
? Educate staff on pertinent medical topics, focusing on substance use disorders and medication management strategies.
? Engage in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the continuous enhancement of patient care through critical incident reviews and other quality assurance activities.

Required Skills
? Strong clinical skills in assessing and treating substance use disorders.
? Exceptional ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
? Knowledge of medical protocols and procedures related to substance use disorders.

Qualifications

Option 1 (Physician):
? MD or DO degree.
? Successful completion of an emergency medicine or primary care residency.
? Board certification in emergency medicine or primary care.
? Experience with adolescents facing substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions.
? 3-5 years of experience in primary care, emergency medicine, or addiction medicine is preferred.

Option 2 (Nurse Practitioner)
? RN degree (or equivalent).
? Master?s Degree in Nursing.
? FNP-BC, PNP-BC, or ENP-BC certification.
? Prescriptive Authority licensure in Colorado.
? DEA certificate.
? Experience working with adolescents facing substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions.
? 3-5 years of experience in primary care, emergency medicine, or addiction medicine.
