As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for monitoring critical IT systems, promptly identifying and addressing issues, and ensuring the overall health and stability of our infrastructure. This role will be leading our next-level 24/7 monitoring and response capabilities. Primary Responsibilities ? Monitoring and Alert Management: ? Continuously monitor the performance, availability, and security of critical systems, applications, and network infrastructure. ? Set up and configure monitoring tools (such as Site24x7, Managed Engine, PagerDuty, Azure Log Monitor, Azure Sentinel, or similar) to proactively detect anomalies, performance bottlenecks, and security threats. ? Respond to alerts promptly, investigate root causes, and take corrective actions to prevent service disruptions. ? Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external MSPs to ensure timely resolution of incidents. ? Incident Response: ? Act as the first point of contact for system-related incidents and outages. ? Follow established incident response procedures to mitigate the impact of disruptions. ? Escalate incidents to appropriate teams and provide clear communication throughout the resolution process. ? Document incidents, root cause analyses, and remediation steps. ? Performance Optimization: ? Identify areas for system performance improvement and propose enhancements. ? Work closely with system administrators, network engineers, and application developers to optimize system configurations and resource utilization. ? Implement performance tuning strategies to enhance system responsiveness and reduce latency. ? Security Monitoring: ? Monitor security logs, intrusion detection systems, and vulnerability assessment tools. ? Investigate and respond to security incidents, including unauthorized access attempts, malware outbreaks, and data breaches. ? Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to implement security best practices and maintain compliance with industry standards. ? Documentation and Reporting: ? Maintain accurate documentation related to system monitoring processes, incident response procedures through ticketing, and system configurations. ? Generate regular reports on system performance, uptime, and incident trends. ? Provide insights and recommendations to improve system reliability and resilience to CIO/CISO and stakeholders. ? Keeps the teams, and the CIO/CISO apprised of potential or escalated systems issues. Qualifications: ? Education and Experience: ? Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. ? Combination of education and experience with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in systems monitoring, incident response, and IT operations. ? ITIL (Information Technology Information Library) Foundation Certification preferred. ? Azure Certification(s) preferred. ? Technical Skills: ? Proficiency in monitoring tools (e.g., Site24x7, Managed Engine, PagerDuty, Azure Log Monitor, Azure Sentinel, or similar). ? Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows). ? Familiarity with network protocols, firewalls, and security best practices. ? Scripting skills (PowerShell) for automation. ? Windows, DNS, Active Directory, AAD, M365, Azure, AVD, WVD, TCP/IP, Networking, VMware, Oracle, MySQL, MSSQL, PowerShell, ITSM, Cloud-Managed PC, O365, VoIP, Log Management, Storage Management, Capacity Management, Monitoring and Alarms, Automations, APM, RUM, New Relic, Pager Duty, Log Monitor, Sentinel, Oracle OEM. ? Soft Skills: ? Strong sense of ownership and urgency when escalating active alerts. Exhibits confidence when escalating to ensure alerts are responded to in a timely manner. ? Ability to work independently or in a team environment. ? Ability to communicate effectively in person, in writing, and over the telephone in English. ? Ability to work outside regular business hours on an exceptional basis. ? Ability to manage and operate IT projects and multitask effectively and efficiently. ? Strong analytical, investigative methodology and problem-solving skills. ? Adaptability and willingness to learn new tools and technologies is wanted. ? Prefer some knowledge of systems engineering or application development. Work Environment ? Virtual working environment; extensive sitting and computer work. ? What?s in it for you Package This role will have a base pay range of $85,000-$105,000 annual salary. Please know, this is the base range only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for this role. This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus.
