The Manager of Sales and Marketing Operations at Barnes & Noble College drives sales and marketing initiatives for academic solutions such as BNC OER+ Courseware and Inclusive and Equitable Access models. This pivotal role involves overseeing customer activities throughout the sales process, from pre-sales engagement to post-sales support. Key responsibilities include conducting impactful product demonstrations to secure adoptions, managing customer onboarding for a positive experience, and collaborating with store managers to ensure seamless integration. Additionally, the Manager develops sales tools, supports marketing communications efforts, and gathers valuable customer insights through data analysis to continuously enhance products and processes, all aimed at driving adoption and ensuring customer satisfaction.
How You'll Make An Impact
? Sales Management:
? Lead the BNC OER+ Courseware pipeline, overseeing the entire sales process from prospect to closure.
? Drive adoption growth by identifying and pursuing new opportunities for BNC OER+ Courseware adoptions.
? Conduct product demonstrations for faculty, provosts, administrators, and affordability committees to secure adoptions and increase customer satisfaction.
? Customer Service Oversight:
? Manage the onboarding process and provide ongoing support to BNC OER+ Courseware customers to ensure a positive customer experience.
? Collaborate with BNC store managers to retain existing customers and facilitate smooth integration of BNC OER+ Courseware.
? Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and courteously to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
? Sales Enablement Development:
? Develop and execute impactful sales tools to support the positioning and messaging of BNC's academic solutions, empowering the sales team to drive success.
? Marketing Communications and Program Marketing Support:
? Collaborate on internal and external marketing and communications efforts related to BNC's academic solutions, ensuring consistency in messaging across all channels.
? Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote BNC's academic solutions, including digital and traditional marketing tactics.
? Support marketing and communications for First Day Complete (FDC) campus launches by providing campus communication resources and managing all BNC store marketing, including web and in-store promotions.
? Voice Of The Customer Insights:
? Gather customer insights to understand evolving needs and preferences, ensuring that products, programs, and processes align with the expectations of clients.
? Provide market feedback to the product team and collaborate to exceed customer needs and enhance the overall customer experience.
? Data Collection And Analysis:
? Collect and analyze data related to the success and satisfaction of BNC's First Day and First Day Complete solutions, providing actionable insights to drive continuous improvement.
What You'll Need To Succeed
? 5-8 years of experience in marketing or sales, in the higher education market and/or ed tech industry, with a demonstrated track record of driving sales growth and achieving high levels of customer satisfaction.
? Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite.
? Experience with the following platforms is highly preferred.
? Salesforce
? Monday.com, or other project management software
? Adobe
? Strong problem-solving, analytical, and reporting skills with attention to detail.
? Strong project management skills, highly organized, and adept at multitasking to ensure timely completion of objectives.
? Excellent written and verbal communication.
? Experience with educational technology a plus.
? Candidates must be available to work East Coast hours.

The hiring rate for this position is $70000 - $80000 / year. The actual pay may vary based on a number of factors, including professional experience, hiring location, skills, competencies, etc.
