Successful candidates for this internship position will gain valuable experience in the medical device industry, which could shape career decisions and create future employment opportunities. Overview of Internship Opportunity: We?re looking for an intern to join our creative Quality Systems team. Our team is hard-working, smart, goal-oriented, and creative, and we?re looking for an intern to contribute to our Quality Systems projects and objectives. The intern hired for this position should expect to participate in several Quality Systems disciplines, including quality process mapping, development of a new process for the investigation of medical devices subject of a complaint, crafting of procedures and records to direct the new process, and for complaint management through cross-functional collaboration with other Orthofix team members. The Quality Systems Engineering Intern will leave this position with invaluable skills and industry knowledge. Quality System Engineering Intern Essential Functions: Under general supervision, create and map a process for the investigation of devices that have been returned due to complaints for a bone growth stimulator. Support quality assurance in the development and implementation of procedures and work instructions that govern the new process, process instructions, and data management tools necessary to assure product quality and support Quality Performance KPI monitoring and management. Modify existing procedures to support the new workflow for the investigation of a bone growth stimulator. Student Eligibility: In order to qualify for this Intern opportunity, the student must: Have the legal right to work in the US. Be currently enrolled at an accredited university as an undergraduate or graduate student. Qualified candidates will be working towards an Electrical, Biomedical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering degree. Be in excellent academic standing, Minimum Cumulative 3.0/4.0 GPA. Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Have knowledge of and proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Visio). Should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills and have the ability to work independently.
