What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
? Provide customer service to patients regarding scheduling appointments, referrals, and maintaining patient demographics
? Respond to inquiries from members and providers about insurance benefits, eligibility, and coverage
? Maintain positive relationships with customers and act as a patient advocate
? Participate in outreach events including health fairs and enrollment fairs to promote services
? Assist in documenting processes and identifying improvements for enhanced service delivery
What Is Required (Qualifications)
? High school diploma and 1-3 years of office/business experience; call center experience preferred
? Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders
? Proficiency in organizational skills and report analysis using tools like Excel and Access
? Knowledge of reimbursement methodologies such as DRG and Fee schedules
? Ability to meet department metrics and attendance guidelines
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
? Experience in claims processing within managed care environments
? Familiarity with customer service metrics and performance standards
? Demonstrated ability to conduct root cause analysis and improve service processes
? Previous involvement in outreach or community engagement activities
? Understanding of healthcare policies and procedures
