Position Summary
The role of Data Analyst, Supply Chain involves evaluating and analyzing data to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of our supply chain operations. This pivotal role requires employing statistical analysis and data modeling techniques to identify trends, forecast spend, and enhance supplier deliverables. The Data Analyst collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, finance, logistics, and operations, to ensure data-driven decisions are made to elevate operational performance. Additionally, the role entails developing robust reporting tools to monitor supply chain metrics and provide actionable insights to senior management.
As part of our selection process, candidates will undergo an on-site or virtual MS Excel test to assess their proficiency in delivering results swiftly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze supplier spend and cash management in collaboration with finance, accounts payable, and procurement teams to offer data-driven insights for strategic supplier selection.
Utilize advanced MS Excel skills and SQL knowledge to support ad-hoc data requests, ensuring efficient data cleaning and processing.
Develop and implement reporting mechanisms to identify organizational needs, visualizing data for easy interpretation, and distributing reports to stakeholders.
Demonstrate understanding of financial reports and develop forecasting models to predict future inventory needs.
Conduct market analysis to identify supply chain trends and anticipate challenges or cost-saving opportunities.
Evaluate vendor performance metrics, ensuring compliance with service level agreements and identifying areas for improvement.
Implement and manage procurement and supply chain analytics tools, ensuring accurate data collection and analysis capabilities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate supply chain data insights into business strategies.
Lead initiatives to improve data quality and integrity within supply chain functions.
Provide training and support to procurement and supply chain teams on data analysis techniques.
Manage the development of dashboards and reporting systems for real-time monitoring of supply chain metrics.
Perform cost-benefit analysis on proposed projects or procurement decisions.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in data analytics/science, computer science, mathematics, or business/commerce.
3 years of experience in data analytics, preferably with 1 year in supply chain/procurement.
Proficient in MS Excel, SQL, and MS Power Platform (including PowerAutomate).
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Creative problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
