Lumos is looking for a full-time Network Operations Center Manager (3rd Shift 11pm-8am)! Essential Functions
? 24 x 7 Surveillance and Monitoring Management.
? 24x7 Incident Management.
? Change Management ownership and support.
? Organizational Development Recruiting, personnel management, goal setting, training, coaching, mentoring, etc.
? Major Network Outage Coordination and Escalation.
? Coordinate interdepartmental work activities to resolve network and customer problems.
? Create reports for customers following trouble ticket and maintenance activities.
? Act as 3rd level escalation for internal and external customers for all network and customer issues.
? Provide continuous feedback and assess employee performance using Company programs.
? Conduct disciplinary actions as necessary according to Company guidelines.
? Manage maintenance and repair activities internal and third party.
? Develop an achievable set of network performance objectives for the organization and then measure performance to those metrics.
? Provide periodic assessment of key operational issues and potential problems to upper management
? Maximize employee productivity, morale, and retention through empowerment techniques and teambuilding.
? Maintain strong working relationships with internal and external colleagues and customers.
? Develop complex business cases to new business processes.
? Perform on-call duties as necessary.
? Other duties as required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
? Thorough knowledge of management principles and practices, employee development, and telecommunications technologies.
? Experience setting up local exchange operations including surveillance, monitoring, fix, and repair.
? An understanding of IP networking and Fiber Broadband network technologies.
? An understanding of SONET and DWDM technologies
? Demonstrated experience with MS Office Word, Excel, and Power Point.
? Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Other Experience & Requirements
? Bachelor's degree in business or technical field preferred.
? Previous NOC experience and understanding of capturing and timely responding to surveillance alarming; previous proven successful supervisory experience leading a technical team.
? Well-versed in developing and reporting KPI?s used to gauge team and individual productivity.
? Fiber or Telecom industry experience preferred.
